      <image:caption>A calm, meditative practice designed to support the prenatal and postpartum experiences to bring balance to the physical body, mind, and energy. No yoga experience is necessary. All postures will be seated or reclined. You’ll need access to Zoom (your camera can be on or off), a quiet space, a blanket, a pillow or bolster or two, and one or two yoga blocks if you have them.       <image:title>About</image:title>
      <image:caption>Liz first tried yoga when she was a kid, attending chair yoga classes with her grandma at the local senior center. While she was always intrigued by yoga and meditation--she practiced a million shoulder stands and tree poses in her basement while growing up and practiced meditation to calm anxiety--it didn't become a regular practice and lifestyle for her until she found herself struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, and burnout that resulted from a high-pressure job. Yoga started as a means to escape and relax while getting a workout and ended up becoming Liz's passion. Uniting the body and mind through movement, breath, and focusing on the moment helped her cope with stress outside of the studio and become calmer, healthier, and generally more pleasant to be around. After a few years of dedicated practice and exploring many different types of yoga, she knew she wanted to delve deeper into her practice and start sharing yoga with others. She received her RYT 200 certification in 2015, followed by a hot series training in 2016, yin yoga training in 2017, advanced yin yoga training in 2020, and is currently wrapping up a 300-hour training. Liz is known for her calming presence, authenticity, and positivity. She believes in the power of shared experience, creating community through yoga, and that everyone needs yin yoga in their lives. When she's not teaching or practicing yoga, you can find Liz working for the Association for Undergraduate Education at Research Universities (her other main passion is undergraduate education and student success), hanging out with her husband and three dogs, making up new recipes, enjoying local breweries with friends, reading, and getting outside. She is also a sauna and bath aficionado, a fairly impressive bargain shopper, and sometimes ok at pinball.</image:caption>
